The Business Analyst as a Change Management Practitioner
The tech industry is going through a period of turbulence. Rapid technological shifts, the increasing influence of AI, and evolving delivery frameworks are reshaping how organizations work and how roles are defined. In many environments, the role of the Business Analyst is becoming more ambiguous—sometimes diluted in agile structures, sometimes misunderstood as purely delivery-focused, and sometimes questioned in the context of automation. As a result, many Business Analysts find themselves asking an important question: what does the future of the BA role look like?
This webinar invites you to explore one possible direction: the evolution of the Business Analyst toward the role of Change Management Practitioner. Business Analysts already possess many of the capabilities required to support organizational change—stakeholder engagement, impact analysis, value assessment, communication, and strategic thinking. When viewed through this lens, frameworks such as BABOK Guide v3 can become a strong foundation for expanding into established change management approaches such as the ACMP Standard for Change Management or the Prosci ADKAR Model. The shift is not about abandoning analysis skills, but about expanding their application—from defining solutions to enabling successful adoption and realizing value for stakeholders.
What We’ll Explore Together
This session is designed as an interactive exploration, not a traditional lecture. Through collaborative exercises and visual mapping activities, participants will examine how familiar BABOK concepts connect to change management practices and will reflect on how their existing skills can support broader transformation initiatives. Together, we will explore practical ways in which Business Analysts can expand their professional horizons and strengthen their relevance in a rapidly evolving technology landscape.
