Join us for a Valentine’s-themed Business Analysis meetup in Cluj, where BAs from the local community (and beyond) can connect, collaborate, and spread the “BA love”.

We’ll mix thought-provoking talks with interactive moments that help us reflect on what we love about BA, what we can do better, and how we want our community to grow. Whether you’re a seasoned BA or just starting out, you’ll leave with practical insights, fresh connections, and a few heartfelt (and helpful) takeaways.

What to Expect
💛 Lots of Love for BA: We will give appreciation for Business Analysis, share why each of us chooses this field of work.
💬 Talks, Q&A + Feedback
Three presentations, followed by Q&A and feedback.

  1. Business Analysis: Mature Love, Not First-Time Passion
Speaker: Roxana Hadarau, CBAP
Speaker bio: Business Analyst with experience in the banking industry, driving complex end-to-end initiatives, focused on loan origination.
Description: A metaphor for the Business Analyst profession.
The BA role is presented as an emotional evolution: from the initial excitement, through the real challenges of projects, and eventually to a form of mature love.
The structure honestly and humorously follows the transformations a BA goes through over the course of their career.

  1. Beyond Love at First Sight: Why Real Business Analysis Is a Mature Relationship
Speaker: Lavinia Ghenghiu, CBAP, PMP, CSM, PSM, Certified SAFe® 5 Product Owner/Product Manager, IIBA Endorsed Education Provider
Speaker bio: Department manager and delivery leader specializing in complex programs and organizational execution. She leads cross-functional teams and aligns C-level stakeholders around difficult decisions, with a strong focus on turning strategy into sustainable delivery. With a solid foundation in business analysis, Lavinia brings a structured, pragmatic approach to leadership and large-scale initiatives.
Description: Business Analysis often starts with a sense of clarity. Requirements seem reasonable, stakeholders are engaged, and momentum builds quickly. But just like in relationships, that false sense of clarity rarely survives the honeymoon phase.
In this talk, Lavinia Ghenghiu looks at what happens when analysis doesn’t stop at documents and deliverables - when it starts taking responsibility for consequences, asking uncomfortable questions, and forcing real choices. Having lived with analysis at every level - from delivery to leadership, she contrasts local and systemic impact and argues for an analysis that cares less about being liked, and more about being willing to live with the outcome.

  1. AI predicts. Humans understand.
Speakers: Mihaiela Marian-Vălean, CCBA and Alexandra Haitonic
Speakers’ bio: Business Analysts with backgrounds in Psychology and HR, focused on decision-making, team dynamics, and integrating AI into BA work with a human-centered approach.
Description: How can we use Artificial Intelligence as support in business analysis while still keeping the human perspective? In this talk, we’ll bring together psychology, business analysis, and Agile practices to show how you can leverage your strengths.
We believe the future of business analysis isn’t a race against Artificial Intelligence, but an opportunity to protect and develop the qualities that make us irreplaceable. Come and discover practical ways to stand out!

💬 Networking & Community: Share stories, exchange ideas, and connect with the BA community in a relaxed, friendly environment.

🌸 Flowers for Business Analysis (Community Reflection): Give thanks for what we get from the community, share our thoughts on how it can be improved, and reflect on how we can give back.

🎤 Your Host: Sergiu Pocan - BA, storyteller, and community builder with 18+ years in IT, passionate about making business analysis (and the people around it) shine.
